Hi, I’m Shalom.
I’m a product designer who trained as an engineer. Since 2021 I’ve been designing products where the technology is complicated and the people using it shouldn’t have to care: AI assistants, DeFi lending, healthcare booking, travel planning and learning platforms.
Right now I’m an AI Product Designer at Njem, and currently obsessed with AI × product design.
From circuits to interfaces
I studied Electronic & Computer Engineering, and it still shapes how I design. I’m comfortable with how systems work underneath, so I can talk to engineers in their language, understand what’s expensive to build, and spot when a “simple” screen is hiding a hard technical problem.
What design added was the other half: caring about the person on the other side of the system, and making sure they never have to understand it to use it well.

How I work
Start with the hard part
The interesting problem is rarely the screen. It’s the verdict nobody can read, the role nobody designed for, or the prompt nobody knows how to write. I look for that first.
Design with engineers, not for them
I prototype early and stay close to the people building it, so decisions get tested against reality while they’re still cheap to change.
Put it in front of people
Interviews, usability sessions, think-aloud tests. I’d rather be wrong in a prototype than in production.
Make complex things legible
Hierarchy, plain language and progressive disclosure: show people what they need now, and keep the detail one step away.
